At the WCC, there are many ways to serve and contribute to our vibrant community. You can show up to our events, sign up for our mentorship program, plan or facilitate an event, host a reading group, or donate to our funds. If you want to take your involvement to the next level and be more active in working with the leadership team and taking a lead role in one of our initiatives, we welcome you to volunteer for one of the following short-term Associate-level positions. Each comes with a commitment of one year or less, depending on the item, and can be renewed on an annual basis.

Whether you can volunteer for only one project or take on a role for a whole year, please consider joining our leadership team in one of these positions! If you are interested, please send us an email expressing your interest and telling us which position(s) most appeal to you.

Current Positions

• Reading Group Liaison

  • Duties include: planning and coordinating reading groups with different hosts and organizations; working closely with the Membership/Events Director and Co-Chairs

• Fundraiser

  • Duties include: creating strategies for stabilizing and expanding WCC’s finances to support its programming, which may include soliciting donations, writing grants, and negotiating partnerships; working closely with the Treasurer and Co-Chairs

• Volunteer Managers

  • Duties include: coordinating volunteers for WCC events and programs, whether virtual and in person; working closely with the Membership/Events Director
