  • Workshopping Your Book Proposal

Panelists Nandini Pandey (Johns Hopkins University), Francesca Martelli (UCLA), Verity Platt (Cornell University), and Scott McGill (Rice University) provided feedback in breakout rooms.

  • Publishing a Journal Article

Panelists Sarah Nooter (editor-in-chief of Classical Philology or CP) and Irene Peirano Garrison (co-editor of TAPA) gave an overview of the journal publication process, followed by an interview facilitated by Suzanne Lye (co-chair of the WCC). In the final portion of the session, Sarah and Irene answered questions from attendees.

  • Advice for Peer Reviewers and Editors

This is a follow-up event to our Publishing a Journal Article event based on questions collected from participants. Topics covered include: an overview of the review process, the role of the editor, the role of reviewers and what they can expect, timelines for reviewing articles, giving feedback, and tips & advice.
