Publishing a Journal Article: Advice for Peer Reviewers and Editors

The Women’s Classical Caucus invites you to participate in the WCC Publishing Series Event: Publishing a Journal Article: Advice for Peer Reviewers and Editors. This is a follow-up event to our Publishing a Journal Article event based on questions collected from participants and is targeted towards early and mid-career scholars.

Topics covered:

  • Overview of the review process (i.e., what to expect, timeline)

  • The role of the editor

  • The role of reviewers and what they can expect

  • Timelines for reviewing articles

  • Giving feedback (e.g., deciding to accept or reject; types of comments)

  • Tips & Advice

The event will be in a roundtable discussion format, in which each panelist will first briefly present, giving an overview of their journal’s publication process. They will then be interviewed by the facilitator with crowd-sourced questions. For the final portion of the session, the virtual floor will be open for questions from session attendees.

We welcome all to register and attend this event!
