As academics, we often push ourselves to the very limit, both in our professional and personal lives. How can we sustain the energy we need to keep going and to participate in the crucial activism that drives us, whether in our scholarship, in our classrooms, or in our lives? And how can we keep "self-care" from being just a meaningless buzzword that's a self-indulgent #TreatYourself hashtag?
Let's reclaim authentic self-care as the necessary, intentional, daily personal practice we need to refuel our whole selves and compassionately build our resilience as we engage in social activism and anti-racist work. This workshop offers tools and strategies for investing in our own well-being so we have enough energy for the journey and can be better allies as we do the hard work of learning and growing. Because we are in it for the long haul!
